Early in the morning, at 8 am, Nuzzly and I came in to watch a meeting being held in the conference room. They discussed various decisions and conclusions to the process that the chamber may or may not support. The meeting went on for about an hour or two. When it was over we came back into the office, and started working on the modifications of our flyers and reading a newsletter Ms. Jacqueline sent us. Around noon (12pm), Jacqueline told us she would take us to Sweetwater High School for the ribbon cutting of a new hydration station. I thought the story behind the hydration station was interesting because she said the project was initiated by a group of students. About two years ago they proposed to many businesses to have a hydration station at the high school to have cleaner water and reduce the use of plastic bottles. Afterwards, Ms. Jacqueline took us out to lunch at Zorbas, where we got to know her better: her background, personal and business life. Coming back from lunch, we got right back to working. While we were working, one of our co-workers gave us a new assignment. We have to redesign something that the chamber already had, called "Chamber Bucks." When 4 pm hit, we started changing into our National City shirts, so we could head over to Vallarta and meet Gerardo Ortiz. Arriving there, we saw how many people were there (over a thousand). We gave the radio station some props with the National City logo. We headed inside where we waited for the artist. When Ortiz arrived, we were the very first ones to take pictures with him, without having to wait in line or purchase a cd. We then hung out there for a while, and started handing out flyers to those in line. The day ended when those flyers ran out, then we went home. It was exciting to be part of the VIP group.
