In the morning, there was a meeting being held in the conference room in the chamber. The meeting was about how the members were going to take action towards getting an event to work and attract enough people. There was a lot going on. They were discussing prices, booths, food, supplies, entertainment, speakers, organization, etc. It was eye-opening to see how much work is actually put into making a successful community event. Today we also got to meet Mr. Medina's wife, Tina. She is such an outgoing person with a great personality. Towards the end of the meeting, our co-workers met with us to discuss an agenda because today would be a busy day. Very busy day. We discussed everything that needed to be done and assigned who would do what. We were assigned to go through and organize information on some evaluations. Nuzzly and I divided up the work. I had less than her because I had to finish the final edits on the flyer and chamber bucks designs. By now, Nuzzly and I have identified each other's strengths and weaknesses. Nuzzly is strong in speaking, managing and being engaged in the aspects of business; I was not so good at that. I was stronger on the creative side of marketing, designs and all the technological aspects of the job; she wasn't as much. We complimented each others weaknesses and continually gave each other feedback to become more well-rounded individuals.

Why intern here?CVLCC High School has given Juniors the opportunity to take time off of school for two whole weeks, in order to be able to participate, as an intern, at a company of their choice. The process of finding an internship was difficult due to certain circumstances, like the time period, age, etc. I was interested in the National City Chamber of Commerce because, although my dream is to become an engineer, I'd like to experience what it's like to be in a business environment and have the opportunity to acquire new skills and knowledge.
